Using A Pilates Ring

Everybody wants to have a nice figure and amazing body by means of different techniques and equipment. Today, there are various workouts and exercises being introduced and practiced. Certainly, you must have heard of “core” exercises and Pilates.

Winsor Pilates is one of the most popular workouts being distributed on DVD right now. When learning Winsor Pilates, you will encounter the Pilates Ring, which is part of the exercise program. Winsor Pilates focuses on the “core” of the body with low intensity workouts. The core includes muscles in the pelvis, back, and abdomen. The exercise is easy and it can be done by everybody, even those with poor health conditions. For best results, it is recommended to be practiced three times a week. After a month, you will be amazed at the changes that take place in your body.

Aside from toning the muscles in the abdomen, pelvis, and buttocks, the Pilates ring is also used by those who want to improve the shape of their pecs, legs, triceps, lats, and biceps. A Pilates ring is so easy to squeeze that you can do it with your arms or legs. Most importantly, you should seek the help of a certified Pilates instructor to show you how to properly use the ring so as to avoid unwanted incidents or injuries.

In addition to that, you should be aware that each Pilates ring comes with a specific level of resistance. No matter what brand name you choose to purchase, you should get the right level for your body. It may be dangerous to force your body to do a harder workout right away. You need to take one step at a time so as your body can adjust and tolerate the resistance that you use.

Progressively, you can increase the resistance slowly so as to tone your muscles more effectively. Again, before deciding what level of resistance to use, you should first consult your Pilates instructor.

Sometimes, using exercise equipment can cause rough hands and calluses. A Pilates ring has padded grips so you will feel comfortable and at ease while using it. It is so light as well that you will have no problem at all shall you decide to bring it anywhere—home, office, gym, etc.

A Pilates ring is made to add fun and excitement while doing your Pilates exercise. It is just one of the many accessories being incorporated with Winsor Pilates. However, if you want to use the ring for another workout then you should ask for some suggestion from your instructor.

You are always advised to consult your Pilates instructor first in anything you do to ensure safety. There is a chance you could hurt yourself if you do Pilates exercises in the wrong way. You do not want to end up hurt when what you really want is to be healthy and fit.
